Ariel Fernandez is a lifelong South Floridian.

He was born in Hialeah, Florida in September of 1981. He attended Champagnat Catholic School until the eighth grade.

In 1999, Ariel graduated from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. He went on to obtain a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in International Relations from Florida International University, while working as a Congressional Aide to U.S. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

During his time with Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen, he was responsible for handling a wide range of issues including healthcare, education, and disaster relief efforts. He was also a liaison for the Congresswoman to State and local governments.

In addition to working for the Congresswoman, Ariel has served his community and fought for our principles as the founding President of the Rising Republican Youth of South Florida and as a board member of the Republican Party of Florida’s Hispanic Leadership Council. Ariel was most recently a member of the Coral Gables Emergency Management Division Board and he presently sits on the Boards of the Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency and RAMZ Academy.

In 2008, Ariel was a surrogate for Senator John McCain speaking on his behalf during his Presidential campaign. He served as the Chairman of Miami-Dade Catholics for McCain-Palin as well as a member of the National Catholics for McCain Steering Committee. He also served as the Chairman of Catholics for Marco Rubio during his election to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

Ariel has worked on numerous community service projects and taken leadership roles in community organizations. He has coordinated food drives, beach cleanups, park cleanups, and other community service projects that have benefited thousands of our citizens.

He was a political analyst on Radio Paz 830AM’s Compartiendo Contigo and hosted Radio Paz's Sobre La Mesa. He has also been featured as a guest analyst on Maria Elvira Live, Arrebatados con Maria Laria, and La Ley con John Ruiz.

Ariel currently serves as Deputy District Director to Congressman David Rivera of Florida's 25th Congressional district.
